FALL BASKETBALL LEAGUE

LEAGUE RULES • Games will be 45 minutes in length with a running clock • Players will substitute every 5 minutes (whoever was out, goes in) • In the final 2 minutes, Coaches may subsitute freely at a dead ball • The clock will stop on all dead balls in the final 2 minutes • The clock will always run on a made basket • Each team will have 2 timeouts per game • Overtime will be 1 minute in length (each team will receive an extra timeout) • On Free-Throws: Players positioned along the laneline may enter the lane on the release of the ball. Players positioned on the perimeter may not cross the 3-point arc until the ball hits the rim. ***This change is being implemented in IHSA basketball as well as within the HS feeder system this year.
