Mike Ipjian, founder of Elite Instruction and The Elite Center has been training college, high school, and middle school athletes for 24 years. As the company’s head instructor, Mike’s training encompasses the following:
Jump-shooting mechanics: shot-speed & fluidity, release point, alignment, body- balance, form & follow-through Ball-handling skills: left/right balance, open-court playmaking, one-on-one breakdowns, ambidexterity with regards to passing and dealing with ball pressure Shooting off the dribble: shots off the pivot(shot fake or jab-step), one and two dribble pull-ups off a one-on-one breakdown, open-court jump-shooting Defensive skills: proper positioning, defensive rotations, rebounding & footwork Finishing skills: outside & inside hand finishes, creativity at the rim, utilization of length/extension, finishing with contact Perimeter and Low-post footwork
Charlie Newell & Don Asuncion host high-energy training sessions that address game-angles at game-speed.
